- Responsible for the end to end logistics / distribution of finished goods from DC to Pharmacy / Hospital / Patient
- Management of the day to day operations and distribution of our logistics Partner
- Point of escalation for any operational issues
- Review, analyse and identify trends in performance data
- Lead monthly performance management reviews with our logistics partners and suppliers ensuring KPI adherence and effective root cause analysis and preventative actions are identified to address and drive performance
- Host F2F performance reviews at customer / Logistics providers locations
- Review, analyse and identify trends in performance data
- Establish strong working relationships with Strategic business partners and teams
- Collaboration with internal functional stakeholders including Finance, Quality, Launch, Planning and Regional Business Managers upto director level
- Responsible for the logistics set up and deployment for new product launches ensuring successful delivery on time to patient
- Ensure appropriate process controls and documentation are in place within Vertex and at suppliers, utilizing change control platforms, SOPs, and other processes/tools
- Manage and control the returns process
- Participate in audits and support audit remediation, as needed
- Provide logistics status / project updates to key global stakeholders and management teams
- Seek operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives and implement process improvements
- Support supply to managed access programs and handle named patient supply requests
- Review, Approve logistics spend invoices and record and monitor against annual budgeted PO’s.
- Act and represent Logistics as the SME in various meetings both virtually and F2F, requiring global travel.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant subject.
- Strong experience in customer services, order management and logistics for pharmaceutical products
- Proven experience in working cross-functionally to achieve successful outcomes
- Knowledge of Good Distribution Practice guidelines and compliant practices
- Experience in export shipping requirements for destinations outside of EU.
- Proven experience of managing day to day operations and issue resolution in a dynamic, high-volume environment
- Experience of analysing data and compiling reports.
- Proven ability in working with 3rd party logistics providers (3PL’s)
- Used to working with the boundaries of Standard Operating Procedures
- Knowledge of Managed Access Programmes and Named Patient Supply.
- This is a remote position.
- Attendance and participation at F2F workshops, Off Site days and conferences is required as well as some occasional travel to European countries to meet logistics providers.
