Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic team member with a strong background in logistics, distribution and warehouse/fabrication shop management, inventory control and transportation management. The Logistics Manager will lead the entire logistics operation including a warehouse, managing both an internal fleet and external third party service providers. Key to this role is coordinating with multiple departments and project locations to plan, coordinate and execute complex and time-sensitive inbound and outbound deliveries to and from multiple project sites across the GTA and Eastern Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and direct logistic processes and procedures, and establish on-going improvement plans for inventory control, warehouse management, shipping/receiving, freight management, routing, fleet services, 3rd party service/supplier providers.
• Develop best in class solutions utilizing technology to drive efficiency across the operations.
• Provide leadership to a diverse team including coaching and managing performance; implementing and adherence of corporate policies and procedures, driving innovation and leading by example.
• Ensure the effective implementation of the logistics strategy through leadership, setting objectives, managing performance of individuals, motivating staff in order to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved.

Desired Skills & Experience

• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a logistics role; construction/multi-site experience an asset, ventilation prefabrication.
• In-depth knowledge of best practices in logistics philosophy, technology, tools and techniques.
• Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
• Strong organizational and computer knowledge word/excel, communication skills, written, verbal and presentation.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to negotiation, influence and gain commitment.
