Join our team as a Logistics Manager! We're seeking an organised, detail-oriented professional to oversee our supply chain, transportation, and inventory management.
Your future role
As a Logistics Manager at Alstom, you will oversee all the Logistic teams: warehouse, logistic engineering and transport teams (Alstom employees or external - provider) for your site/country. You will manage and optimise the logistic flows to always keep the physical and system flows aligned.
We’ll look to you to:
- Ensure that employees operate in an environment that complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Actively participate in all aspects of safety including reporting of near misses and meetings.
- Ensure implementation of all standard processes & golden rules in compliance with Logistic Handbook.
- Ensure optimisation of warehousing, packaging, and physical flow according to Lean Manufacturing and QCDE (Quality Cost Delivery Environment Health & Safety) principles.
- Ensure key users are in place to support critical processes and users (training, data corrections, system Key Performance Indicators (KPI))
- Ensure the ERP solution (Enterprise Resource Planning solution) is implemented, correctly used, and guarantee the master data quality.
- Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (inventory accuracy, cycle counting performance)
- Ensure the inventory process is in compliance with Alstom standard rules (Delegation of Authority DOA, instruction)
- Ensure the deployment of APSYS (Alstom Transport Production System) roadmap by each team.
- Optimise warehouse layouts, its internal flows and storage policy.
- Manage C-Class* activity according to Alstom standard rules (C-Class is the outsourcing of the small parts management)
- Promote recycling activities: bin management and returnable packaging.
- Manage Budget for your department.
- Respect the Delegation of Authority (DOA) rules regarding inventory reconciliations.
- In case of 3PL (Logistics activities or partially outsourced), ensure that the 3PL and his employees operates in an environment that complies with Alstom’s Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Be the contact person between the Management of the 3PL and all other Alstom Departments and manage any complaints or issues concerning the 3PL and escalate if required.
- Participate in all monthly, weekly and daily meetings with the 3PL.
- Control and validate the 3PL’s KPI’s and invoices.

- Experience of minimum 3-5 years in Logistics & Warehouse management.
- Experience of minimum 5 years in Team management.
- Knowledgeable of SAP (WM and IM modules) is desirable.
