About the team

The Enablement team supports Operate in developing its people, processes, performance and technology for individuals, teams and entire programmes. Enablement’s effectiveness and service delivery are business critical to Operate’s commercial and strategic success - it's through our diverse and highly skilled people that we're able to support a range of activities, providing ‘best in practice’ frameworks that enable success and make a difference.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of running projects to establish and set up new operational delivery contracts from project start up through to project closure

  • Ability to priorities work and meet deadlines, managing stakeholders and directing a project team with strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • Ability to communicate and escalate key issues in a timely manner

  • Project / portfolio management tools - Project / BVP/ CBA / PPM

About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering new engagements into our Operational Service Towers, ensuring they transition effectively; establishing & managing the project plan to move the service from our clients into our Service Towers in a timely and safe way ensuring that the handover to the Operational Delivery Teams takes place in a controlled manner and smoothing the transition into 'business as usual' delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for leading the project(s), driving towards the established goals and working with the wider project team to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget

  • Work in partnership with a nominated Service Tower to support their engagements, understanding proposed deliverables and commercials, establishing the project plan to drive a safe mobilization and transition into live service and BAU and ensuring the engagement is set up to meet the client requirements in terms of required scope, stated SLA’s and KPI’s, resource profile and budget, timelines and ensuring risks and issues are appropriately tracked and escalated when required.

  • Producing monthly delivery reports at a Service Tower & reporting into the Cluster level Programme Boards for all engagements within your span of control. Running all project meetings to ensure actions are progressed and any issues/risks/dependencies are tracked to ensure appropriate mitigation is in place and progress to the plan

  • Provide estimates for resources required to support full mobilization and transition of an engagement as part of our bid/RFP process. Working in partnership with the Service Tower operational teams as well as within our lines of service

  • Track the budget for the transition and reporting on actuals v’s forecast in terms of mobilization activities. Championing the use of the Operate quality frameworks to drive the programme excellence through mobilization and operational excellence through Delivery

  • Drive standardization in our solutions to support high quality, efficient outcomes. Develop robust and trusting relationships within our Operate business, across all lines of service and our external client base

  • Establish project level governance and reporting ensuring that all actions, risks and issues are sufficiently documented and progressed but also understood by all the stakeholders.

  • Work to minimize any delivery risk when the service moves into BAU operational service.
