About the Role
Our stores are packed with thousands of products, from clothes and household items to tinned foods and frozen goods, and without our warehouse teams they wouldn't be on the shelves for our customers. Our warehouse teams pick and organise the right products and ensure they all get to the right stores at the right time - it's a vital part of our supply chain.
If you are looking for a chance to develop in logistics and are studying a logistics focused post degree programme, this could be the role for you! The Direct Entry scheme is designed to support our core operation. The role is based in Asda's head office in Leeds as part of the ALS team or the toyou team based in Rochdale. This will give you the opportunity to learn about the operation on the frontline and from a head office perspective alongside developing your leadership and management skills. The direct entry scheme is for 2 years, within those 2 years you will have three 8-month rotations in three different ALS teams. This will give you exposure to ASDA logistics services like no other role in our business.
About You
We are looking for individuals who are hungry to learn and grow with our business. The industry is constantly changing and therefore the ability to innovate, problem solve and adapt in a challenging environment is essential. Whilst being creative is key, solutions must be realistic and commercially viable. A commercial background and examples of leading teams is desirable but not essential.
You will be able to build strong relationships and a network around you, as you will work closely with your mentors on the development programme. You will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be adaptable to change, whilst being passionate about doing the right thing for our customer's by driving quality and adhering to process. You will be naturally friendly and want to get stuck in, working with your team to deliver great results.
