MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES OF POSITION:
Key Responsibilities
- Support on-site workforce with logistical requirements
- Support on-Site Services
- Support Warehouse(s) with loading / offloading of cargo
- Ensure compliance to all HSE requirements and any other applicable legislation.
- Manage Safe and Secure Storage of materials, with appropriate segregation (e.g. Ferrous / Non-Ferrous material / Dangerous Goods)
- Awareness of preservation process and associate activities and record keeping.
- Promote Health, Safety, Security and Environment within project team
- Participate in toolbox talks.
Project specific requirements
- Support Warehouse team to effectively manage the on-site materials requirements
- Comply with systems, processes, procedures, and policies relating to material management
- Actively participate in ensuring HSE compliance on site
KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/ COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
Experience and Personal Characteristics
- At least 1 year Materials Management experience
- Good Knowledge of ERP systems
- IT Literate (Excel/Word etc)
- Experience of development and implementation of Company Procedures
- Experience in the handling, storing and preservation of project materials and equipment
- Competent in maintaining and updating project reports accordingly
- Highly motivated, self-starter
- Actively promotes company values and business ethics
- Demonstrates strong commitment to safety
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt and react to change positively
Project Specific
- Mining related Material Management experience is an advantage
- Flexibility, adaptability, and quick thinking
- Ability to think laterally and encourage diverse thinking and embrace new ideas within the team
- Telehandler / Forklift Licence
