Job description

We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator with responsibility for the provision of logistics excellence through delivery of goods to customers on time. Based: South London. Agile working: 1 day per week WFH contracted but some week to week flexibility.


The main requirements of the role will include:


  • Work to agreed standard and service level agreements to provide logistics excellence for the organisation, including:
  • Working towards the Logistics team targets on costs and service.
  • The effective planning of transport from Zotefoams to the customer.
  • Working closely with the Customer Service team and Planning to ensure customers’ requirements are fulfilled within agreed operational lead times.
  • Creating the relevant paperwork for national and international shipments.
  • Manage transport in a timely and cost-effective manner, maximizing load efficiency and proactively drive for logistics improvement opportunities.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships withing your team, transport providers, and internal departments. Leverage relationships to achieve goals.
  • Provide regular KPI reporting to track progress against target to improve performance.
  • Accountable for all transport planning in a defined geography, provide thought leadership, operational insights, and business intelligence to make improvements to service, cost, or reliability.
  • Undertake any other duties as required from time to time, commensurate with the role.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum A level educated. Graduate or logistics qualification holder would be advantage.


Knowledge

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages, excel and word.
  • Understanding of cultural differences resulting from working in an international environment
  • Some use of ERP systems, Microsoft desirable but any ERP system experience is useful.
  • Knowledge of export is desirable, but not a essential


Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience of working in a logistics/export environment
  • Experience of working with logistics and transport companies

  • Fluent in English
  • A customer focused approach to work
  • Strong numerical, organisational & communication skills
  • Team focused, able to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others
  • Capable of contributing to logistics improvement initiatives
  • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines
