Logistics Coordinator - (Maternity Cover 12 Month FTC)

The purpose of the role is to maintain the logistical needs of the company and our customers, ensuring deliveries are on time around the world with excellent service to our customers. You will be reporting to and working closely with the Head of Logistics and our third-party logistics partners ensuring all daily deliveries and bookings are met.

Key responsibilities:

  • Day to day administration of our client’s orders and requests.
  • Sales Order processing from various sources (E-mail, Phone and Various EDI systems)
  • Acknowledge / action all emails in agreed time frame.
  • Keeping our Sales Team up to Date with delivery information.
  • Processing new orders in our Operating system, allocating them to the correct distribution warehouse and creating within the system the necessary shipping documents to the end customer.
  • Update and maintain the forecast Spreadsheet.
  • Maintaining and updating the customer profile database with specific customer delivery requirements. Including packing specs, delivery addresses and stock lines. Customer SKU’s.
  • Assist in investigating queries and delivery issues and report back findings in a clear, concise manner.
  • Handle the data administration of inbound and outbound stock.
  • Provide cover and assist where necessary.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience in Sage Intacct (Stock, Sales Orders and Invoicing) and be competent in Excel
  • High attention to detail.
  • Has a proactive approach to problem solving and takes the initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills.
  • Excellent Organisational skills
  • Experience in Supply Chain Logistics / 3PL Distribution or similar role.
  • Experience in dispatching goods domestically, nationally and internationally.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
