At Prestwick Service Centre we are specialists in the maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft engine nacelles systems and engine components.

We require experienced individuals who will contribute to our success, whilst upholding our reputation as a leading provider of quality MRO services with our European and Middle Eastern customers.

At our Prestwick facility, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Controller to support our business which will include the following duties:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Receipt of parts into stock locations from internal/external suppliers ensuring documentation complies with all regulatory compliance requirements.

  • Routine cycle counting to facilitate the accuracy and integrity of inventory items.

  • Point of Use (POU) set-up and management of stock within designated areas of control.

  • Accurate, safe and timely loading/unloading of transport vehicles.

  • Manage the collection of facility generated waste streams by contacting approved waste contractors(s).

  • Ensure a safe and orderly working environment in line with 5S/ACE principles.

  • Attend meetings where necessary and deliver regular updates to site management in relation to department Key Performance Indicators and continuous improvement opportunities

  • Compliance with all RTX policies and procedures inclusive of EH&S, Code of Ethics, Intellectual Property and Global Trade Compliance requirements

Position Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated self-starter with the ability to multitask effectively, plan and prioritise workload.

We are looking for an individual with excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and influence internal and external customers at all levels.

Previous exposure to Logistics operations in an Aerospace/Aircraft Maintenance or Manufacturing environment is highly advantageous. You will have a working knowledge of MS Office and experience with the ERP system SAP or similar as a major element of computer work is required in this role.

There is also a requirement to drive a forklift; therefore, forklift experience is preferred.

The role requires flexibility in rapidly evolving global aviation market. Dayshift/backshift rotation will be required in the role (with associated competitive premiums) and will be complemented with a comprehensive training working within a culture based on positive assumptions that supports personal growth and development.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake a disclosure Scotland security check in line with Known Consignor regulations.
