Job description
Contract Type: Grade 6 – £23,194 - £24,496 - 37 hours per week
Closing Date: 23 June 2023
Applications are invited from enthusiastic, proactive and self motivated individuals who love data, detail and administration.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in working in a busy HR environment, is well organised and can actively prioritise multiple tasks.
For the initial 6 to 12 months this post will provide support to the HR database project team during the upgrade of the current HR database (Firewatch) with a complete cleanse of the system data and support the establishment of good protocols to maintain that data going forward – in essence they will become one of our database superusers.
A longer term key part of this role includes updating establishment and employment related data, interrogating our HR database for a wide range reports and using the full range of Microsoft office products (particularly word, excel and power point) to extract and manipulate data in response to internal and external queries. This must be carried out on a regular basis and sometimes at short notice.
Ideally, the successful candidate will have entry level/administrative experience of working in an HR function, hold CIPD level 3 certificate in HR practice and must have excellent IT, communication and administrative skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to perform well under pressure is therefore essential along with the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive records.
At the conclusion of the project stage post will work alongside three other HR Data & Administration Officers and supporting our HR Service Partners with all manner of HR administration, including recruitment, workforce planning, attendance management, grievances, discipline and performance management.
Employee benefits include free onsite parking, flexi-time, local government pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement and station gym membership.
