Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (LBCM) is an integral part of Lloyds Banking Group focussing on helping business customers achieve their risk management and investment objectives. LBCM has a global reach, with businesses in the UK as well as USA, Europe and the Channel Islands.
The LBCM Finance teams play a key role in the overall business providing support and control functions as well as providing analysis and insight on business performance enabling the business to make better decisions. Working within LBCM Finance, you’ll be given an excellent opportunity to build core finance skills such as Business Partnering, Executive Reporting, Forecasting and Data Analysis, gaining experience across a mixture of formal learning and on-the-job training.
This is an amazing opportunity to understand finance and the banking sector and kick-start your career within Lloyds Banking Group, Britain’s largest bank and the largest provider of digital financial products in the UK.
About the programme:
Starting in September 2023, we’ll support your study for a fully funded professional qualification – Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) Level 4 Apprenticeship. We’ll also support you in achieving the Level 7 CIMA qualification, which will deepen your understanding of finance and mean you’ll end the scheme as a fully qualified management accountant.
Whilst on the apprenticeship scheme around 20% of your time will be dedicated to ‘Mandatory Apprenticeship Hours’, which can include attending workshops, shadowing, reading, completing assignments etc. This means 80% of your role is applying your learning in the workplace, in a safe environment.
As part of this role, you’ll spend time rotating through our teams in LBCM Finance London, providing you with a range of experience and opportunity to understand how Finance and the bank works.
Please note – as a result of this you’ll be expected to work from the office as and when required by the business.
You’ll be immersed in the team immediately and given your own tasks to manage, whilst being assigned a programme-specific manager to provide you consistent and personal support. By the end of this programme, you’ll have a clear path for progression within Finance and across the wider Group, and a firm understanding of your strengths and career goals.
What you’ll learn:
A good understanding of all areas of the Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets business
A fundamental awareness of key financial performance indicators
Data manipulation and analysis skills
Planning and organisation skills through managing and prioritising own workload
