Job description

Vans for Bands Ltd is looking for the right person to help coordinate its Oxford based splitter van fleet.

Vans for Band Ltd is one of the largest suppliers of artist and crew transportation to the live music touring industry in Europe, as well as a key transport supplier to the Film and TV industry. We have the largest fleet of bespoke built splitter vans in Europe which offer a specialist transport solution combining both passengers (artists & bands / film crews) and equipment storage within the same vehicle. We are the market leader in our industry, we are innovative, and we are growing.

This job will involve taking enquiries, quoting for tours, taking bookings, signing vehicles out and back in, arranging deliveries and collections, and working within a small team to help coordinate the vehicle fleet. On occasion you may be required to work weekends at our Oxford office.

The right person will:

  • Have a positive attitude, with good communication skills
  • Have good inter-personal skills
  • Be comfortable handling a lot of telephone and email enquiries on a daily basis
  • Have good IT skills, with the ability to master our hire software and systems
  • Have good attention to detail, even when under pressure
  • Have judgement / problem solving skills and initiative
  • Have commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team
  • Have well developed organisational and time management skills
  • Ideally have experience with live music touring and the music industry or the vehicle rental business (but not essential)

Terms of Employment

· Employed on PAYE basis with holiday pay, sick pay and pension benefits

· Competitive rate of pay, depending on experience

· 40 hours per week

· Annual leave is 28 days inclusive of public holiday pro-rata against hours worked. At least 5 days (excl. New Year’s Day) to be taken in January each year.
