Department: Hell Bay Hotel

Reporting to: General Manager

Salary: Our pay rates start at £11.25

Hours: 40-48 hour per week, variable with 2 days off

Contract Length: start date and length of contract negotiable, seasonal-year round

Duties Include

• Checking guests in and out
• Assisting guests with queries
• Making and assisting with hotel reservations and quotes
• Responding to emails
• Undertaking administration and secretarial duties as required
• Handling mail
• Responsible for the daily hotel banking
• Using our shop till and restocking the shop
• Typing of daily menus
• Inform guests of travel arrangements including pick –up times
• Be able to assist in guests enquiries regarding quays for boat trips and other local knowledge
• Ensure the office is kept clean and tidy
• Undergo any additional training required provided by the business to assist you in the role
• Some shifts may be worked alone
• Listen to baby monitors in the evenings whilst guests are at dinner.
• Other duties that are required to ensure the smooth running of the Hell Bay Hotel

Our Ideal candidate

• Must have a polite and friendly manner
• Should have excellent customer service skills that can be evidenced
• Must have English fluency and the ability to converse easily with a wide range of people, both in writing and orally
• Will be self-motivated with a proven ability to work in an organised and efficient manner
• Should have ability to remain calm and professional in busy and high-pressure situations
• Must have ability to prioritise tasks effectively
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software such as Outlook, Excel, Word and Access
• Previous work experience in a reception or reservations environment is desired
