Our organisation offers Live In Carers to care for the elderly, who are in need of assistance with activities of daily living. The right candidate will be honest and compassionate, attentive to the needs of the patients and capable of performing light housekeeping duties. We require a candidate that is flexible, responsible, respectful and reliable. The Caregiver will be responsible for all aspects of patient care, including, but not limited to, providing companionship, meal preparation, and household management.

Responsibilities:

  • Be able to provide personal care and domestic services to elders and people with disabilities.
  • Have previous experience, of at least a year in a related field.
  • Related training is a bonus, but not essental as we offer training.
  • Be flexible and able to work under pressure.
  • Be able to perform basic household and personal care duties, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., groceries, laundry).
  • Be compassionate and empathetic toward others in times of difficulty.
  • Demonstrate good listening skills.
  • Be well-groomed, presentable, and professional in appearance and actions.
  • Be able to communicate clearly with co-workers, managers, health professionals, and customers.
  • Be honest in dealing with others.
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Be confident in using Moving and Handling equipment, such as a hoist.
  • Have experience of working with Colostomy Bags and Urostomy Bags.

We are looking for an experienced Live In Carer to join the team working with a couple in Helston, Cornwall. You will have experience within a complex care setting, and some experience in working with Dementia. There is hoisting involved and daily visits from the district nursing team to assit with the care needs.

We are looking at someone that will willing to work 2 weeks on 3 weeks off, with extra weeks to cover holiday's. We have other work in the area if you are looking to work 3-4 weeks on 1-2 weeks off.
