Purpose of the role:

To act as a host and the corporate, customer-facing representative of the client to all attendees at an event or exhibition.

To undertake a forward-thinking approach to the development of commercial opportunities within the events industry.

To support and provide a key source of communication with organisers, exhibitors, clients and the Rego Core Team.

To ensure the effective use of data to monitor and raise standards for all participants.

To deploy and work closely with all Rego colleagues to develop the distinctive values and behaviour that underpin theorganisation.

To assist with facilitating the whole sales cycle, engage with attendees, enhance experiential events and manage teams.

Required Skills

Experience in a sector related to delivering exceptional sales and service ideally in exhibitions, events or another relevant service and/or sales orientatedenvironment.

An ability to build positive and productive relationships with colleagues and otherstakeholders.

An effective approach to influencing people, demonstrating an appropriate balance between support andassertiveness.

An open and participative style with excellent leadership/communication skills and commercial acumen.

Solution focused and able to work under pressure, thus adapting quickly to challenges that may arise at anytime.

An in-depth understanding of Rego’s values and principles, with the ability to respond to the ever changing businessenvironment.

The role and its responsibilities

The role of a Rego host is varied and may include the following:

  • Greeting and registering attendees.
  • Human signage entering, exiting and navigating a venue safely.
  • Health and Safety venue protocols.
  • Point of contact and information services at a desk or venue location.
  • Presenting speakers for conferences.
  • Running mics between speakers and audience members.
  • Timekeeping, room announcements and management of AV equipment.
  • VIP concierge - including arranging and facilitating meetings in person and on-line.
  • Hosting and facilitating VIP tables for charity raffles, auctions and donation collections.

Job Type: Freelance

Salary: £14.50 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
