Litter Assistant
Location: Warwick Castle, Warwick
Hours: Weekends and weekdays. Position is part time with regular weekends.
We are currently recruiting for a Litter Assistant to work within our Grounds & Gardens Team for our 2022 season at the UK’s most exciting Castle. 2022 is set to be one of the most thrilling years yet, with a full calendar of spectacular events including Oktoberfest, The Haunted Castle, Dragon Slayer and many more.
As a Litter Assistant you take pride in your surroundings and will ensure that site presentation is at its best at all times, working with other teams to ensure that waste is managed effectively. The role is based outdoors, working in all weathers and individuals must be comfortable working alone and as part of a larger team. There are many opportunities for you to interact with our guests, so a friendly helpful manner is essential!
The main duties will include:
Collecting waste from designated areas
Picking up ground litter
Maintaining compounds
Ensuring that site bins and furniture are clean and well maintained
This is a Seasonal contract. General hours of work will be Sunday – Saturday working between the hours of 8.00 am and 6.00 pm. However, due to the nature of our unique business, exact hours and days of work will vary so a flexible approach is essential. At certain periods throughout the year, you may also be required to work during the evening in line with the needs of the business.
