About the role
We are looking for a Liquidity Analyst to join the Treasury team on a permanent basis in Alderley Edge. The successful candidate needs demonstrable experience of data analysis and reporting wit a strong awareness of internal controls.
You will report into the Head of Liquidity Management and support by taking responsibility for key functions within the Liquidity Management Team within Group Treasury, which sets and implements the liquidity strategy for the Group.
With the recent and on-going developments in creating an automated solution to reporting and managing liquidity risk, there is an increased requirement to focus on the management and control of liquidity risk, modelling stress scenarios, and providing value add solutions to the stakeholders.
This will be a varied role with ever increasing interaction with business partners such as RLAM, Risk, and the Investment Office, combining BAU reporting responsibilities with providing timely value add analyses, project involvement and the exploration of potential actions to mitigate fast moving risks.
Key responsibilities
Preparation and reporting of internal and external liquidity reporting. As a team, manage and monitor the liquidity framework, policy, and processes, ensuring liquidity risks are identified, measured, managed, monitored, and accurately reported This includes ownership of the liquidity warning indicators process, ensuring all issues are escalated in line with set procedures. Maintaining the liquidity reporting / management database ensuring mapping tables, calibrations are up-to-date, exceptions are investigated and cleared, manual adjustments are documented and kept to a minimum. Development and construction of liquidity modelling for stress and scenario testing incorporating requirements for the Capital Management Committee, ORSA reporting and the Recovery Plan. Identifying, measuring, managing, monitoring, and reporting collateral management risk, and FX exposure risk. Supporting business partners and subsidiaries in the management and reporting of liquidity / collateral management / FX exposure risks.
Criteria
Proven experience of data analysis and reporting within a finance environment with a strong awareness of internal controls. Experience gained in financial services preferably either in Treasury or Operations. Detailed knowledge of MS Excel and working knowledge of other relevant MS Office packages, such as Word, PowerPoint.
