Job description
Tracsis are looking for an experienced Linux systems administrator to join our Infrastructure Team, supporting our extensive data centre installation and our wide-ranging customer network connectivity.
What you’ll do
As our Linux systems administrator you’ll have experience of systems administration and will have enthusiasm to learn new skills such as Oracle database administration.
You’ll be using the latest technologies to develop, performance tune and support our hosted services, whilst also getting involved in research associated with both technology appraisal and fault-finding activities. You’ll work with networks, firewalls, storage devices, virtual and physical servers at all levels from bare metal upwards.

Administering our Linux-based systems
Scripting (bash etc) for delivery, monitoring and updating of our software suite
Communicating information clearly, to internal and external parties
Learn and support existing and new technologies as they are adopted
Professionally liaise with internal and external technical teams and 3rd party service providers
Participate in the on-call rota
Test and document solutions and processes
Produce estimates for work packages
