Lift Engineer – Project Engineer

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 + Car + Benefits

Start Date: ASAP

As a Lift Engineer – Project Engineer, you’ll be home based with a focus on lift industry product support and engineering.

Main duties

  • Manage individual project orders in accordance with internal ISO procedures.
  • Be competent in providing designs compliant with relevant industry standards.
  • To become conversant and competent with the current IT platforms including the CRM and ERP systems.
  • Liaise with internal/external teams with all project related tasks including customer meetings and site surveys.
  • Assist with purchasing and cost analysis of all project materials and fabrication.
  • You will work within the companies procedures at all times.
  • Utilise Solidworks 3D Design to carry out order specific design tasks;
  • Design of industry specific product solutions
  • Build 3D model libraries of parts and assemblies
  • Produce 2D fabrication / customer approval / assembly drawings
  • Create photo realistic Rendered visuals

Qualities required

  • You will be a motivated individual with excellent time management and a confident member of a team able to assist and communicate with staff at all levels.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in the work load and prioritise accordingly.
  • You will be punctual, reliable and possess good written and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills; phone and one to one interaction.
  • Having excellent IT skills with focus on Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience in the field is not necessary as full training will be given.
  • Minimum Degree qualification or equivalent in a design/engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge of Solidworks 3D/2D CAD software is essential, full training will be provided.
  • Willing to travel throughout the UK if and when required.
  • Full UK driving licence is preferred.

The role will suit individuals currently working as a Lift Engineer – Project Engineer, Senior Lift Engineer, Application Engineer, Lift Engineer, Customer Support, Technical Support Engineer – Lifts, Mechancial Engineer and be living within a commutable distance of Liverpool, Manchester, Stoke, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, London, Coventry or be willing to relocate.
