About the job
Edinburgh Street Food are looking for enthusiastic front of house staff with experience in a high-volume environment who are excited by the prospect of delivering an unbeatable dining experience for our guests. You need to be passionate about the hospitality industry and have a genuine interest in delivering exceptional experiences.
As a member of our Front of House team, you will be one of the first interactions our guests have with our operation, so you need to be polite, enthusiastic and confident to ensure we provide the quality of service we expect for our guests. This is an active service-based role across a large site, and you will be on your feet for most of the time.
In return, you will be working for a Living Wage accredited employer with the full support of your Line Manager, who will be there to care for your welfare and development. We will provide you with the training to make sure you succeed not only in this role, but ensure transferrable skills are developed to carry into future roles.
A key part of this role is an understanding of the nature of our operation. You will be working alongside some of Edinburgh’s best food operators, putting quality of service and the products leaving our kitchens and bars above anything else. Everything you do will be helping us to elevate our operation.
What is in a day?
Our front of house team is one of the most critical roles in our operation. You will be working across a number of on shift roles, including:

- Food and drink service from vendor/bar to table
- Order taking, and upselling of products to guests at tables
- Maintaining the standards of cleanliness across site, including all front and back of house areas
In this role, you will be working closely with the whole ESF team, as well as the wider partner group, responsible for the delivery of a fast paced and constant service operation ensuring that we look and deliver our best at all times of the day.
What sort of hours will I work?
We can offer shift patterns to suit you and your lifestyle, weekend and night working is likely, but we want to work with you and not against you. Our operation runs from 1100 and often until 0100 (during August this may differ).
