Remote working role: No – location based only

Age Restriction: 16+ on date of contract commencement

Level/Salary Range: Variable based on age. Starting at £8.00 p/h

Hours: On a shift pattern based on needs of the service

Contract: Zero Hours

Reporting: Role reports to Duty Manager and General Manager

Job Description

Objective of role

  • Supervise swimmers in and around the pool to ensure safety of customers.
  • Assist pool maintenance and operation tasks.
  • Assist daily chemical testing and maintaining pool chemicals.
  • Complete pool, bathroom, and site cleaning.
  • Maintain pool and staff standards
  • Help to maximise sales for café and pool through upselling
  • Provide first class customer service
  • Assist stock management using epos system and processes to help minimise losses
  • Grow personally and professionally as part of the lido business.
  • Assist and supervise The Canoe Man (TCM) hire

Responsibilities

  • Maintain staff rotations and staff breaks.
  • Attend monthly training sessions to keep qualifications up to date.
  • To be an active member of the lifeguard team and ensure correct poolside positions and constant visual patrols are maintained.
  • Ensure the facilities are operated in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with the PSOP, national standards, and best practice.
  • Ensure facilities are cleaned and tidy, and all areas of the site are kept safe.
  • Handle dangerous chemicals safely and professionally, in accordance with COSHH.
  • Administer first aid to staff and customers when required and complete appropriate report forms.
  • Assist with ensuring booked facilities are available on time and as expected by the customers
  • To ensure parking restrictions are enforced at all times.
  • To enforce Beccles Lido rules and regulations to the public.
  • To maintain positive public relations at the swimming pool.
  • To maintain a professional attitude towards work
  • To report any faults through the appropriate channels.
  • To work as part of a team, and on your own initiative, to overcome problems and ensure targets and objectives are met.
  • Know rules and conditions of TCM hire
  • Provide suitable equipment, advice, and training to TCM hirers
  • Other duties as deemed necessary or as required.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Training:

  • Maths & English GCSE A-C Essential
  • RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification Essential
  • First Aid at Work qualification Desirable
  • Automatic External Defibrillator qualification Desirable

Experience:

Experience of working in swimming pool environments Desirable

Previous face-to-face customer service experience Essential

Use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office based systems Desirable

Previous experience in use of EPOS system and/or tills Desirable

Skills:
