Licensing Compliance Assistant
The Licensing team are committed to procuring and maintaining all required real estate, construction and operating licences and permits in full accordance with the law and regulations wherever we operate. This role is a key position in helping us deliver this commitment. We are currently responsible to obtain and maintain all operational and business licences, so there is always plenty to do!
Successful Candidates will need to be warm and friendly with a good telephone manner, needed to engage well with each other, councils and law firms regarding licensing matters.
Full training on the role will be given, but we must insist you have good basic PC skills and preferably some working knowledge on how to use excel and word. A working knowledge of stores and store operations is not essential but will help in the role.
This is a full time (37.5hrs) role, spread over 5 working days with optional 'partial' remote working. For clarity, you will be required to work at Asda House in Leeds a minimum of two days every week. For the remaining 3 days of the week you can choose to work at home, as long as you have a good internet connection, or you can work in Asda House.
KRAs
Ensure Licences Valid >99% on a monthly basis
Ensure all Stores must have a minimum of 3 Personal Licence Holders (PLHs) unless otherwise mandated by a Licensing Condition
Ensure that 100% of licences are in place before sites open/project lands, in line with legal requirements or exception granted
Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are reviewed/amended or created in line with applicable review frequency/need
Identify and implement Cost Saving and efficiencies in the Licensing programme
