About the Position

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly, close knit team at Wickhambrook Surgery. We are looking for around 24 hours per week, but are flexible with this.

The Practice is based in the heart of the beautiful Suffolk countryside, serving a practice population of approx. 5200 patients.

We provide high quality patient centred care to our practice population, many of whom are with us from birth to old age! The Practice team work closely together and are very supportive of each other which results in a strong team spirit. There are 4 GPs, 3 nurses, 2 HCAs and managerial, administrative, reception and dispensing support.

Our GP partners are actively involved in clinical commissioning and medical education with the Practice being a training practice for GP Trainees and hosts placements for undergraduate and post graduate students from Cambridge University and the University of East Anglia. Ongoing personal and professional development is encouraged for all staff.

Salary is competitive, dependent on experience.

Essential Person Specification:

· Recognised eg. RGN with current NMC registration

· Flexible approach to the demands of General Practice

· Ability to be proactive with a can do attitude

· A team player with the confidence to work independently

· Good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills

Desirable Person Specification:

· 2 years post registration

· Experience in Primary Care

· Training in Chronic Disease Management – Diabetes in particular

· Cervical Screening Qualification

· Women’s Health

· Training to support the delivery of the National Immunisation Schedule

· Sound IT skills with experience in clinical IT systems

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20-28 per week
