To undertake the role of Primary Care Nurse, utilising agreed levels of decision making and clinical judgment to triage, assess and treat a diverse range of patients.
Ensure that patient health needs are met through the provision of the diagnosis and the management of patient conditions, within competency, through the assessment, treatment and review planning process in partnership with patients and families.
Provide specialist advice to healthcare professionals, other agencies, carers, clients and relatives. The General Practice Nurse role encompasses that of clinician and educator.
To work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to meet the needs of patients, supporting and delivering policy and procedures and contributing to the development and implementation of nursing services
This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.
