The Role:
We are looking for an Assistant Financial Accountant who will prepare financial accounting journals, reconciliations, month end processes and support external reporting. This is a development role, best held by an individual wishing to build and develop their career in finance. You will be involved in:
Preparation and posting of month end journals for a selection of standard financial accounting balance sheet and profit and loss accounts for Group companies
- Posting monthly additions to the corresponding asset ledger and fixed asset register accounts
- Running depreciation calculations in the fixed asset register
- Reconciliation of the fixed asset register to the ledgers
- Calculating IFRS 16 lease depreciation and interest monthly journals
- Calculating modifications and additions to IFRS 16 lease assets
- Posting all bookkeeping entries related to a joint venture company
- Assistance with preparation of Interim, Preliminary and Annual Reports
- Assistance with preparation of draft sets of all Group companies statutory accounts
- Assistance with preparation of source information for the Group companies tax computations
- Assistance with preparation of year end budget numbers and support for certain accounts
- To assist the Head of Group Financial Accounting & Controls as required
Skills You Need:
- ACCA part qualified with a view to complete the qualification
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven stakeholder management
- A key team player, whilst also able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously
- Ability to juggle multiple requests and demands and prioritise accordingly.
