Our vision is to secure the best possible future for our residents, defined by the community prosperity we create and supported by our excellent people and services. If you strive to #BeTheDifference and want to be at the heart of our change and improvement journey, then this could be the perfect job for you.

Libraries are more than collection of books; they are hubs for community activities, places to access digital technology, and gateways to reading, information and wellbeing. Wirral Libraries exist to help people to live better lives for longer.

You will have experience of working with people either through employment, voluntary work, work experience or participation in other activities e.g., at school, college or in the community.

You will demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm to the provision of high-quality customer service. Flexibility is key as one moment you may be helping customers to log-on to the library WI-FI, then help download an eBook, or assist customers in the use of IT and or simply finding a book for a customer. We get huge job satisfaction from helping everyone that comes through our doors, and you could too!

Please note this is a physically active role and will include carrying books, pushing trolleys, lifting boxes and being on your feet for long periods of time.

Successful applicants will need to work flexibly across our network of library sites within the Borough.

All posts will be working every Saturday 9-1pm.
