- Experience in partnerships and relationship building.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with operations/process development, documentation, and writing content for an academic audience.
- Experience with library partnerships/relations, publishing, or content-licensing.
- Experience with coding (e.g., Python, Shell-Scripting, MySQL).
- Understanding of cataloging and metadata, library policy, procedures and terminology, and United States and international copyright law.

- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

The Digitization Services team's mission is to make the world's offline information accessible and useful. We provide partner management, subject matter expertise, and management of various digitization operations in support of multiple Google product areas. We support innovative products like Google's visionary Book Search project and other scanning initiatives for Google Arts and Culture, YouTube, Cloud, and others. Our team works with a multitude of internal and external partners to create assets that users can interact with on various Google properties.
As a Library Partner Manager, you will work closely with executive staff at external partners, internally with Google operations managers, as well as cross-functional stakeholders from product and engineering. Among your many attributes, you are self-starting, a natural leader, have excellent communication skills, and are capable at problem-solving and explaining complex issues. Ability to travel internationally is a critical within this role.

Responsibilities
- Work with libraries to ensure their comfort and participation with the Google Books Library Project; lead periodic, scheduled calls to ensure that projects are on track and to raise concerns as they come up.
- Advocate on behalf of libraries to Google, and on behalf of Google to libraries; connect library partners to other groups/project teams at Google as appropriate.
- Act as the main point of contact for issues relating to the library scanning project and other partnerships.
- Troubleshoot issues ranging from book acquisition to return and display of digitized objects, file bug reports and work with the Engineering and Support teams to resolve them.
- Develop a complete understanding of the entire Google Books process from a technical, operations, and partnerships perspective, developing area expertise across all aspects of the project.
