Job description
We require a reliable, self-motivated and team-orientated person, with good interpersonal and communication skills, to join our team and help us provide an efficient and welcoming enquiry service to our users in this busy section of the Library.
You will also undertake clerical duties as well as regular shelving and stock handling duties.
You will have:
- A good general education to GCSE standard or equivalent (including English and Maths)
- Experience of customer service work providing services directly to customers
- Good interpersonal skills for customer care and team working
- Good basic IT skills
- The ability to cope with the physical demands of the job (moving trolleys of books, bending and lifting books etc)
Hours of work will be:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday; two days of 08:45 – 17:00 and one day of 08:45 – 16:30. On alternate weeks one shift will change to 10:45 – 19:00 to incorporate an evening duty (likely to be Wednesdays).
