Job description

The Bodleian Libraries are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, adaptable and customer focused person to join the small team in the Education Library.
You will be responsible for staffing this friendly departmental library on your own. Duties include: assisting readers; providing an efficient enquiry service in person, on the telephone and by email; issuing and returning books; opening the library. You will also assist with other background tasks, including processing new books, creating online reading lists, and weeding stock.
You will be reliable and punctual with a demonstrable commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will have good IT, communication, and organisational skills, and will be able to work independently and as part of a small team in this welcoming library.
This is a part-time, term-time only, permanent post, working for 3 hours on Saturday mornings during extended PGCE terms (c.32 weeks per year).
