Job description
We are looking for a Library Assistant to join the Bodleian Japanese Library and Bodleian KB Chen China Centre Library.
This post requires a flexible, approachable and dynamic individual to assist in the running of the Bodleian Japanese Library and Bodleian KB Chen China Centre Library. The post holder will welcome readers and visitors and administer the library’s admissions procedures, respond to enquiries and provide direction to appropriate services. They will undertake a range of duties on front line desk(s), at all times providing high-quality customer service. According to the requirements of local library rotas and the role, some or all hours will be worked in the evenings and at weekends. The post holder may be required to work at other library locations from time to time.
The post holder will be line managed by the Bodleian Japanese Librarian.
This is a permanent, variable hours post.
