We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer services orientated individual to join our team, to provide a range of library services to NHS staff and students. Candidates must have at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), Grade C or above and possess a library related qualification or have experience of working in a library or similar environment. An ability to work both in a team and alone is essential, along with the ability to prioritise workload and work well under pressure. Excellent communication and IT skills are essential to this role. Main duties of the job In addition to the brief list above you must familiarise yourself with the full job description and person specification attached to this advert prior to applying. The post holder will be carrying out a range of duties, including general administrative tasks, dealing with document requests, handling general enquiries, lending books, inputting and extracting data from the library management system and opening and closing the library. They will provide administrative support on a range of specialist digital projects and assist the team to promote the service via social media and other channels. Detailed job description and main responsibilities The post holder will work as part of a small team, providing library and information services at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The NUH Library Service is available to all NUH staff and University students and supports evidence-based practice, professional development, research, learning, and clinical and managerial policy and decision making. To deliver an effective library and information service ensuring the safety and security of all library users. The post holder will use and develop the library administrative systems and assist in the development of the Knowledge and Library Service at NUH.
