Join us in this customer focused role based in our library at the Falmer campus. Part of your time will be spent at the busy Help Desk assisting customers to access library services using library systems and online resources; answering first level resource and IT queries; dealing with returned books. Other regular duties will include routine tasks such as circulation of stock, shelving and moving materials to maintain a safe and conducive study environment.

- A good working knowledge of IT.
- An interest in improving the student experience.
This is a permanent post, 20 hours per week for 45 weeks per year. There will be four weeks in August and three during the Christmas vacation accounting for the non-working periods.
The working days during term time are Mondays (08.15-17.00), Fridays (12.00-20.00) and either a Saturday or Sunday (11.45-16.00) in three out of four weekends. Hours in lieu of the free weekend will be worked in the week, on a day to be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate. Please also note that start and end times are adjusted to mirror earlier closing during vacation. Enhancements are paid for weekend working.
