We are currently seeking to recruit highly motivated individuals with a passion for delivering the very best customer service.
Based within Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs, you will work flexibly within the team to deliver an efficient and effective service whilst maintaining excellent customer care.
We are looking for individuals who are highly motivated, well-organised, and problem-solvers. You will have a proven track record of excellent communication and ICT skills.
The ability to use your own initiative and work without direct supervision as well as being good team members is a requirement of the roles.
Building and maintaining effective partnerships within and outside the service, dealing with complex enquiries, developing staff potential and implementing new ways of working to ensure an effective service and best value are essential to the roles.
You will require an understanding of the Universal Offers set out by Libraries Connected, as these offers form a major part of service delivery within Libraries. In line with the 2021-2026 library strategy, the post holders will participate in promotional and development activities and events for customers across the service and bring about improvements to customer service delivery.
You will be responsible for stock management by making sure all stock is in a good condition and moving stock on to other locations.
You must be able to support volunteers and support work placements within your designated location.
You will be required to work flexibly, providing support across the Libraries and Neighbourhood Hubs Service, including evenings and weekends as and when required to meet the needs of the service. The successful candidates may also be required to work at various locations across the borough as and when required.

From 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2024 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a weekly / monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year.
