Location: Millom
Contract: Permanent
Working pattern: Library opening hours ie Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and alternate Saturday mornings
About this opportunity
We are seeking to recruit an energetic and highly motivated individual with great customer service skills. The post will be based at Millom Library, in the recently opened Community Hub.
The role is extremely varied and requires individuals to:
- Be the first point of contact for customers’ literacy, reading, information and learning needs.
- Provide direction to trusted sources of information and community support.
- Support library customers to build their digital skills and confidence.
- Carry out general library duties, help with the security of buildings and basic health & safety tasks.
- Deliver a wide range of events and activities for all ages that will involve reading and singing.
