Suttons Tankers are an innovative national tanker haulage business, that operates a nationwide road tanker fleet which has been successfully serving the chemicals, gas, fuels, waste, and powders sectors for over 60 years, and is the largest chemical transporter in the UK.
The Role:
We are looking for an experienced LGV Driver (Class 1 ADR) to join our team based at our Thurrock depot, working a Monday-Friday shift pattern as a Tramper Driver.
This is a PERMANENT Day Tramper position where you will work across 5 days with occasional overtime required.
Pay Rates:
£205 average pay per shift Monday to Friday plus night out allowance
£13.99 per hour with 12 hour guarantee per shift
Overtime hours at £20.98 after 8 hours per shift Mon to Friday
£35.12 per night out
£20.98 per hour for the first 5 hours on a Saturday then any additional hours at £27.98 per hour
£27.98 per hour paid for Sunday shifts
£27.98 per hour paid Bank Holidays plus Standard Bank holiday pay
FULLY PAID BREAKS and paid ADR & CPC Refreshers
Essential Requirements:
- An LGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points
- A tachograph card
- A Driver CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
- A valid ADR licence all classes other than 1 & 7
- A strong understanding of Driver Transport Legislation
- A safety focus
- Minimum 2 years Class 1 experience

The Package:
Expected earnings on these shift patterns are typically £48,000-£52,000 per year. Please note these figures are indicative earnings for this group, actual earnings will vary depending on the hours worked.
In addition, overtime is available, CPC training hours, courses and CPC accreditation and driver medicals are all paid for. Full PPE is provided.
