Job Title – LGV Class 2 (Cat C) Driver (Tail Lift) PART TIME / FULL TIME
Day shift – Monday to Friday (or part thereof)
The main duties of this role will include:
- Complete daily vehicle checks, confirming safe for use, fully roadworthy and that any defects are immediately reported to the Traffic Office.
- Ensure that all goods are safely loaded and secured in the vehicle for road transit. Full training will be given in safe loading of our goods.
- Adhere to the statutory obligations and rules of the road and on our premises at all times.
- Ensure that all transfer, delivery and pick up documentation is accurate and correctly matches the goods delivered.
- Ensure that the driver tachograph is used correctly and legally at all times.
- Self-management of driver hours ensuring that legal limits are not exceeded. Assistance is always provided by the Transport office where required.
- Keep the Transport Office fully aware of any discrepancy with the delivery schedule.
- Assist and advise loaders where requested.
- Must have a flexible approach to workload.
