Our business is expanding and we are now seeking five LGV Class 1 Day Drivers to join us on a permanent, full-time basis at our Basingstoke depot.

The Role

As an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will complete deliveries and collections of building related products across our dedicated Howden’s depots and Yusen depots across southern England.

There is no manual handling, although you will be expected to ensure the products are secure. This is not a multi-drop role – you will only complete on average between 1 - 3 deliveries and collections per day based on a 50 hour contract.

We are looking for four Day Drivers to deliver a first-class service to our customer. Start times will approximately be between 5am and 7am.

About You

To be considered as an LGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A full, valid driving LGV Class 1 licence
• At least two years’ commercial LGV Class 1 driving experience
• A maximum of six points on your licence (excluding BA, CD, DD, DR or DG codes)
• A valid DCPC qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph card
• Excellent communication skills
• To be customer-focused
• To be able to work within a team environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• A flexible approach to your work and the ability to start at different times if necessary
