Job description
DHL, award winning leading supply chain business is seeking a LGV Cat C Driver to play a vital role in our distribution service.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:
- Work as part of a two man team delivering to customer homes
- Shift pattern involves weekend working - 4 on 2 off, 4 on 2 off followed by 5 on 2 off.
- Delivering up to an average of 30 drops per day
- Lifting and carrying of customer orders, which can include larger household items
- Drive in a safe and efficient manner in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
- You will Hold a valid HGV Class 2 Driving Licence (C), Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, training will be provided
- Have a minimum of 6 months commercial LGV Cat C driving experience
- Customer Service Experience
- Live locally to Hams Hall postcode BD46 1DA
