Would you like to work with a diverse group of people in a fast-paced technical environment? Are you fascinated by technology and have a desire to improve things? Are you interested in developing and applying electronic technologies for the next generation of machines? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, our Level 6 Electro-Mechanical Engineer apprenticeship could be the ideal apprenticeship scheme for you!

We are looking for 2 talented apprentices to join our Integrated Component and Solutions (ICS) team at our Peterborough facility. This 5-year degree apprenticeship scheme will enable you to grow and develop your capabilities. From day one you will be embedded in a team solving real world problems and through combining university-based learning with on-the-job training you’ll learn the latest skills and knowledge from our Engineering experts.

Our ICS team offers some of the most exciting Engineering roles within our global business. Apprentices joining this team will have the opportunity to collaborate with our technical experts worldwide focused on the integration, development, application and validation of electrical and electronic control systems for diesel engines, electric drivetrains or construction machine products. Apprentices will gain exposure to:

  • system specifications

  • embedded software design and development

  • control system modelling and analysis

  • component selection and validation

  • system level development and validation

  • product health analysis and quality issue resolution

Apprentices will complete the Level 6 Electro-Mechanical Engineer apprenticeship and will likely be required to attend university on a block release basis. Apprentices will be required to travel.

What we need from you: “Knowledge and competencies”

  • GCSEs: Five Level 5 (C) or above including Maths, English and a STEM subject.

  • A-Levels: AAA grades, to include Mathematics and a Physical Science.

OR

  • BTEC: BTEC Diploma grade D*D*, with an A grade A level Mathematics OR BTEC Extended Diploma grade DDD, including two Mathematics units.

NOTE: Equivalent academic qualifications to the above requirements welcome. You can apply with predicted grades. If you’re successful at the interview stage, the job offer will be conditional on you achieving the required grades before September 2023.
