Salary: Starting at £22,000 per year

If you answered ‘yes’ to any these questions, our Level 6 Electrical and Electronic Technical Support Engineer apprenticeship could be the ideal apprenticeship scheme for you!

We are looking for 1 talented apprentice to join our Electrification & Advanced Power team at our Peterborough facility. This 5-year degree apprenticeship scheme will enable you to grow and develop your capabilities. From day one you will be embedded in a team solving real world problems and through combining university-based learning with on-the-job training you’ll learn the latest skills and knowledge from our Engineering experts.

Caterpillar’s Electrification & Advanced Power Solutions Division (E+APSD) is focused on delivering advanced electrified power train(s) and the solutions and services associated with these technologies. We are looking for top talent to build and scale the next generation of technologies, products, and services to help our customers build a better—more sustainable—world. We need self-motivated, intelligent, and team-oriented individuals to make our plans a reality.

Apprentices will complete the Level 6 Electrical and Electronic Technical Support Engineer apprenticeship and will likely be required to attend university on a block release basis. Apprentices will be required to travel.

What we need from you: “Knowledge and competencies”

  • GCSEs: Three Level 5 (C) or above including Maths, English and a STEM subject.

  • A-Levels: Minimum of 112 tariff points required including Grade B in A-Level Mathematics. 112 tariff points can be made up of A-Levels or equivalent qualifications in any Engineering or relevant STEM subjects (Physics is recommended).

NOTE: Equivalent academic qualifications to the above requirements welcome. You can apply with predicted grades. If you’re successful at the interview stage, the job offer will be conditional on you achieving the required grades before September 2023.
