We are recruiting a Participation Worker to join our Youth Support Service.
The vision for our Youth Support Service is that all young people can enjoy their lives, reach their full potential and make a good transition to adulthood and have their voices heard.
The role of the Participation Worker is to work across Cheshire East Children’s Services to deliver sessions of targeted youth voice work to children and young people aged 0-19 years ( 25 years SEND and Care Leavers). This will be delivered through engagement programmes during the day and in the evening project based work and youth forum groups.
We are looking for a Participation Worker who is passionate about capturing the voice of children and their lived experience. Who wants to improve the lives of young people, who is creative, innovative, and organised, who can work as part of a team as well as under their own initiative. The role includes working with partners and support children and young people on our Children Trust Board, Members of Youth Parliament, and deliver on the Children and Young Peoples Plan.
You will lead on the planning, delivery and evaluation targeted participation sessions. The role will include assessing young people’s needs, measuring impact, evidencing outcomes and recording on systems.
You will be required to complete and implement risk assessments in line with Health & Safety and Safeguarding procedures.
The role includes working daytime, evenings and very occasional weekends.
