Our Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships:
Our apprenticeships allow you to study for industry-recognised qualifications whilst earning a competitive salary. As an apprentice, you will study with a training provider, such as a university, and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace. Your study pattern could be day or block release, or via distance learning, depending on the course that you enrol on. A dedicated mentor will guide you through your personal and professional development. Level 6 Degree Apprenticeships have a typical duration of 3– 6 years, during which you will attain both a professional and academic qualification to further your career. Our apprentices are employed on a permanent basis, so you'll continue to progress with Arup once you've completed your course.

Fire Engineering Apprenticeship
As an Apprentice Fire Safety Engineer, with Arup you will develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours in the following areas:
- Understanding the first principles of fire engineering including: fire dynamics, smoke dynamics, heat transfer, human behaviour, psychological impact of fire on humans, physiological impacts of fire (tenability), combustion process, products of combustion, structural response and how they are used.
- Understanding and application of the legal and regulatory frameworks, statutory guidance and British and European Standard guidance in the context of fire engineering.
- Understanding, assessing and evaluating fire engineering solutions, systems, products and processes throughout the life the cycle of a project including design, construction and occupation.
- Programme and project management.
- Research, information management and report writing.
- Developing teamwork, communication skills and collaboration skills by working within other engineering professionals, regulatory professionals and with clients.
These competencies will be developed through practical on-the-job training, working with experienced fire engineers and other professionals across the business, and classroom-based training with Arup and at university, following an apprenticeship pathway to an undergraduate degree in Fire Engineering.
The apprenticeship will typically run over a 5-6 year period, during which time you will undertake a supervised programme of training and block release with a University. You will also be assigned a mentor within the Fire team who you will work and liaise closely with and be there to guide and advise you throughout your time as an apprentice.
We are looking for candidates with five or more GCSEs at grade C/4/5 or above including Maths, English and Science and a minimum of 3 A levels at grade C or above including at least 2 STEM subjects which must be maths or science related or a level 3 apprenticeship or other relevant qualification
Digital and Technology Solutions Apprenticeship
We are looking for a Digital & Technology Solutions Professional Apprentice to join our growing Intelligent Mobility team. From your first day you will join a growing community of engineers, technician and business analysts, where everyone is supported in their career path. You will help us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of digital projects, focussed on the built environment and professional services for both Arup and our high-profile clients.
You will have an opportunity to develop both your front and back-end skillset as well as project management and delivery. The code you write has the potential to have a real-world impact supporting Arup's projects and Goals. While you will have responsibility from day one, we will give you the chance to take on more as you progress and broaden your skills. You will be supported by experienced members of the team as well as graduates who have recently completed their own Digital apprenticeship. As part of your apprenticeship, you'll study towards a Level 6 degree qualification in BSc Digital & Technology Solutions at the Warwick university.
We are looking for candidates with three A-Levels with a minimum Grade B or above including Mathematics, Computing or relevant STEM subjects and GCSEs at grade C/5 or above including Maths, English and Science.
