Job Title: Level 3 Machinist apprenticeship
Location : Peterborough PE1, Cambridgeshire
Salary: Starting at £12,000 per year

The Apprenticeship: “Let’s do the work”
Are you a practical and hands-on learner with an eye for creating and designing bespoke items? Do you want to work with new and interesting technology and machinery? Do you like the idea of creating specialist parts, to support research and development activities? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, our Level 3 Machinist apprenticeship could be the ideal apprenticeship scheme for you!
We are looking for 1 talented apprentice to join our Global Engine Development (GED) Machining team at our Peterborough facility. This 4-year advanced apprenticeship scheme will enable you to grow and develop your capabilities. From day one you will be embedded in a team solving real world problems and through combining college-based learning with on-the-job training you’ll learn the latest skills and knowledge from our Machining experts.
Our GED Machine Shop team members design mechanisms and tools to ensure component, engine and machine testing can successfully take place. Using a variety of different tools, systems, and machines Machining apprentices will help design, create, and fulfil orders that support the research and development of our products.
What we need from you: “Knowledge and competencies”
GCSEs: Five Level 4 (C) or above including Maths, English and a Science or Engineering subject.
OR completed one year full-time further education and achieved Performing Engineering Operations, Level 2 (6 units) or an equivalent qualification.A-Levels: Not required.
NOTE: Equivalent academic qualifications to the above requirements welcome. You can apply with predicted grades. If you’re successful at the interview stage, the job offer will be conditional on you achieving the required grades before September 2023.

On successful completion of this apprenticeship you are very likely to be offered a position within our world-class team with plenty of opportunity for long-term progression.
