OVERVIEW
We’re looking for a Data Apprentice to understand the use of data in our organisation and be an integral part of how we build, maintain, analyse and share our Apprenticeship and Commercial data.
This is a great opportunity to learn about how apprenticeships in education technology work while developing your own key skills to start your career through practical hands-on experience.
During your time of working with Decoded, you’ll get the opportunity to complete our Data Champion - Level 3 Apprenticeship. This is a 13 month programme designed to help you to master modern data tools, including Power Bi, Tableau, Microsoft and more.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING (AND LEARNING TO DO)
Build and maintain our reports - using various data sources available
Visualise our reports - bringing our data to life
Work closely and collaboratively with all Apprenticeship and Commercial teams - to understand data requirements and meet the needs of the business
Control the data being used - ensuring one source of truth
Use platforms like Alchemer, Bud, Canvas and Zendesk to build data sources
Constantly analysing the data - identifying trends and communicating results to the organisation
Build clear data storytelling and data journeys - communicating results to the organisation

THE TEAM
You will report directly to the Head of Quality Improvement - supported by various teams such as, our Compliance Manager, Admissions Manager, IQA Manager and Head of Delivery.
DAY TO DAY
Our working hours are from 9am-5pm Monday - Friday. We are currently working a blend of remote and office working. You plan your working day around the best outcomes for success, identifying and prioritising projects against business needs. This will be planned and agreed with your direct manager.
STRUCTURE AND REPORTING
Being part of the Quality and Compliance team, we will regularly plan and agree your weekly work projects and your quarterly objectives, all of which will be based on the organisation's needs. This will include a series of reports that will need to be built and maintained, once you have learnt the necessary skills and hold the required level of competency. As you become competent, you will be required to build data packs and reports, carry out data analysis, being able to identify data trends and be able to share the journey of our data to others. You will also be required to work closely with multiple stakeholders to ensure all business needs are met.
Reporting directly into the Head of Quality Improvement, you will be given clear tasks, support and the opportunity to put your new skills into practice.
APART FROM THE ABOVE, WORKING AT DECODED MEANS YOU'LL GET:
- 33 days leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays) and extra tenured holiday enabling team members to gain an additional day for every year you are with us (after the first 2 years) up to a maximum of 8.
- We also close the office for 2 full weeks at Christmas at Decoded's discretion which does not come out of your holiday allowance.
