Your new team
This position sits in our Chivas Brothers business. At Chivas Brothers, our 1,600-strong team across 27 sites is committed to upholding the heritage of Scotch and ensuring its sustainable future, as well as opening it up to new audiences across the globe.
The scope of Operations stretches from Procurement through conversion (distillation and maturation) and manufacturing (or bottling) to all the downstream Supply Chain activities until the final product is delivered. In addition, Operations play a very active role in Innovation, Talent Development and Operational Risk Management.
The team in our Balloch bottling hall on Line 35 are working with some of our most luxurious and exclusive products. The team work to very high standards and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to support our ambition of being better tomorrow than we are today.
Your unique contribution
This role is a blend of work scheduling, administration, and bottling operations. You will have three main areas of responsibility:
  • Line 35 Operation – to be responsible for Line 35 operation, ensuring workflow is well organised and executed on time, in full. As well as maintaining the very high standards of L35 line. You will also lead the Tier 1 Start of Shift team meeting and follow escalation process where necessary.
  • Support New Product Development – to provide input into new production developments, working with the NPD team and attending meetings to represent bottling.
  • Problem Solving and Improvement – to carry out quality checks to ensure our customers get only the best products and being involved in root cause problem solving to maximise efficiency and performance. You will also participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
Who you’ll be working with
Internally, you will work closely with your team within the bottling hall as well as with the wider Manufacturing team. You will also collaborate with other teams across the organisation e.g., Quality, NPD, Dry Goods, Finished Goods, Customer Services.
