About the role
We are investing in our business and have some exciting plans for growth and expansion and as a Lending Manager, you’ll be at the heart of providing customers and brokers with a great service and great products that meet their requirements.
In this role, you’ll provide a brilliant service and act as a key point of contact for new business and working directly with Customers and brokers.
It’s a role where you can develop and get the support you need to succeed. Day to day you’ll be originating new lending and building relationships with customers and business intermediaries. You’ll manage your own deals and support customers and brokers in getting what they need.
You’ll be assessing lending proposals, looking at financial performance and borrower backgrounds, as well as undertake sufficient due diligence in order to make an informed assessment on lending requests. All this will be to ensure our underwriters have what they need, and that we are lending responsibly.
Alongside this, you’ll be encouraged and empowered to constantly develop your industry and competitor knowledge.
About you
You’ll have a good understanding of lending (ideally commercial lending), and be committed to your own learning and development. Alongside this you'll have;
- A great eye for detail with experience of gathering, analysing and interpreting information from multiple sources
- A good understanding of lending transactions and associated processes either in a business development, underwriting or administrative capacity
- A good awareness of the commercial lending market and the key competitors
