POSITION: Leisure Assistants
LOCATION:Hartsdown Leisure Centre
SALARY: up to £19,047.60 (pro rata 37 hours – pay review pending)
HOURS: Various hours available
We are looking for enthusiastic Leisure Assistants to join our team at Hartsdown Leisure Centre, that share our mission ‘*_to improve the health, wellbeing, and lifestyle of everyone within our communities’ as well as our vision to ‘LiveBetter with Your Leisure’*_.
Our Leisure Assistant role is a varied, multi-skilled role. These will include pool lifeguarding, customer service and equipment set up and dismantling.
Successful applicants will ideally hold or be willing to undertake their National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (which will be provided*). To achieve the NPLQ qualification you will need to be water confident, able to swim, with a reasonable level of fitness. In addition, we are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking team players who are keen to learn.
Goodcommunication skills will be required with the ability to communicate with customers (face to face, telephone, and email) to assist with providing excellent customer service. Previous experience in a customer facing environment would be an advantage but not essential.The role also includes regular evenings and weekend working.
*NPLQ Course dates: 26th February, & 5th12th 19th 26th March 2023
