Responsibility & Development
At Plural Strategy you will be given responsibilities from day one and more opportunities as you learn and develop. From mentoring and learning on the job, to more formal training and even potentially formal qualifications, such as finishing your accountancy qualifications (if you've not already qualified).
The Finance Manager Role:
This role's primary objective is to work alongside the Financial Controller to ensure accurate accounting and the smooth running of accounting duties.
Finance Duties
- General bookkeeping up to Trial Balance using Xero accounting software
- Complete day to day administration of the Group Accounts Payable function, incorporating the processing and payment of supplier invoices, staff expenses, undertaking reconciliations and associated tasks
- Group Bank Reconciliations
- Management of Company Credit Card Accounts
- Preparation of monthly journals, to include accruals and prepayments
- Quarterly VAT Returns
- Fixed Assets management and monthly depreciation calculation
- Intercompany Account and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Accurate filing of Finance documentation
- National Statistics submissions
Analysis
- Support the Financial Controller in the production of monthly and year end accounts, budgets and forecasts
- Carry out ad hoc analysis at the request of Financial Controller and Directors
Payroll
- Assisting with the implementation of Xero Payroll Module
- Processing Monthly Payroll for the Group (circa 60 employees)
- Monthly PAYE payments
- Company Pension Returns
- P11d Submissions
- Management of Company Healthcare and Benefit schemes alongside the People Team
Other
- Dotted line management of our Client Account with regards to Management Accounts preparation
- Provide cover for other team members when needed

What we look for:
- Qualified Accountant: Either CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified or overseas equivalent; those part qualified or qualified by experience will also be considered
- Experience of managing a payroll process is essential
- Confident using Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and lookups), Microsoft Outlook and preferably Xero Accounting or Sage Intacct software
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and excellent written communication - you will be business partnering with all the departments within the business
- A team player who would thrive in our collaborative culture
- A fantastic problem solver who can identify an issue and proactively suggest a solution
- Experience within a professional services or agency environment would be preferred
- An understanding of US financial, banking and payroll processes would be advantageous but not essential
Location: London (Covent Garden)
Salary: £55-60,000 per annum + discretionary bonus
