Job description
VMR Strategic Solutions is seeking an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for providing expert level knowledge and advice on a particular subject area. You will act as a resource to others within the organization, sharing their expertise and knowledge to help solve problems and improve processes. You will be required to maintain a high level of understanding in their area of expertise, keeping up to date with latest developments and trends. You will also need to be able to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to those who may not have the same level of knowledge.
Duties
- Excellent knowledge of information technology general controls, data, and cyber security.
- Computer hardware/software systems, and OMB A123 or audit controls.
- Direct experience with and managing Enterprise Business Application (ERP) systems and/or work integrating Contract Writing Systems to in-house ERP systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading and/or managing IT projects.
- End-User Support for Contract Writing System server or cloud-based solution.
- Ability to effectively communicate technology, infrastructure, and process needs.
- Requirements with all personnel levels both oral and written communication.
- Proven record working with business processes, applications, and implementation of information systems to meet organizational requirements.
- Developing and presenting reports, briefings, analyses, and presentations.
Qualifications
Required education and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in any combination of the following fields: Business, Computer Science or Management Information Systems (MIS) shall have a minimum of three (3) years of IT related experience working on IT applications or other relevant IT experience.
- Manage multiple cloud based, hosted systems for related internal and external interfaces; must be able to independently research and resolve highly complex issues.
- Facilitate communications and working relationships between IT and other departments.
- Provide help desk and technical services assistance to on-site and remote employees.
- Develop, implement, coordinate policies and procedures for all areas of information technology to assure data accuracy, security, legal and regulatory compliance, while also assuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain an IT roadmap (R&D through Commercialization).
- Serve as front line of customer support for the Office of Acquisition; focus on Acquisition/Contract Writing System / Enterprise Business Application (ERP) and related systems or connected interfaces helping to resolve technical issues end users encounter, or connecting those users with more intensive IT support, when needed at the highest tier of support.
