Job Summary:
Support network planning & design of infrastructure and provides senior level operation support of campus network infrastructure. This role also administers and operates a complex network environment and leads, manages, coordinates and implements activities and projects for campus data and wireless network infrastructure in order to improve, maintain and secure critical campus network services.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Providing operation support for Campus WiFi infrastructure utilizing Aruba solutions:
o Clearpass
o Airwave
o Controllers
o Conductors
o Central (cloud)
o NetInsight (cloud)
o Cape Sensors
Serve as Subject Mater Expert for WiFi solutions for the Campus and provide arachitecture solutions/recommendations- Design and implement a wired and WLAN network infrastructure.
- Must be able to implement proper security best practices for wired and wireless
network infrastructure.
- Must be know or learn to manage a multi-vendor networking environment that supports
Cisco, Aruba, Brocade, HP and others.
- Design and implement a wired and WLAN network infrastructure.
- Network Management and Monitoring: co-supporting the servers configuration, maintenance, development and monitoring
- Manage a WiFi infrastructure of over 6000 Wireless APs
- Develop standards for WiFi Site Survey and coverages for customer
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
· Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of networking technologies.
- Candidate should have at least 3-5 years of experience in WiFi technologies.
- Candidate should have experience in programming languages, such as Perl, Python or Bash.
- Candidate should be have knowledge of enterprise routing protocols, such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRPP and so on
- Candidate must be able to optimize network performance for wired and wireless network, and partner with other network engineers for troubleshooting.
- Candidate should have experience creating documentation for best practices of wireless LANs, securing infrastructure of the network by deploying firewall and anti-virus software, analyzing network performance of mobile applications, verifying the performance, the quality of radio frequency (RF), and devising plans for optimizing the wireless network.
- Candidate should have some experience with VOIP network technologies.
- Familiarity with emerging WiFi technologies such as WiFi 6E and 5G

- Experience working with web-based applications using various databases, and developing reports and applications that utilize relational databases.
- Experience with data network administration and management of a large, complex data network supporting administrative, instructional and research functions.
- Experience using the Windows and Linux/Unix operating system, scripting and integrated security.
- Experience working in a complex higher education or large ISP network environment.
- Familiarity with Cisco Wireless solutions
